Nashville. Tennessee – May 5, 2014 - The excitement is building. Not long to go now ’till the CMA music festival kicks off and Nashville’s streets fill up with tens of thousands country music fans. Many traveling from all over the world to see their favourite country music artists during one fantastic festival and also get the chance to meet them. As TheCountrySite team is also preparing for the festival we know the feeling. It’s one of the best weeks out of the year. We love that country music brings so many people together and really enjoy the excitement the festival brings to Music City. In preparation of this years events a lot of you have been asking us to combine our pictures from last year on a photowall.
To go with the photowall we asked several of you why you love the festival so much and why you keep coming back each year. Below you can read some of your answers. It’s obvious that besides the music, it’s meeting up with people that share the love for the genre that we all look forward to. Let the excitement begin and see you all during the festival!
Dawn: “Meeting complete strangers that turn into some of the best of friends”
Elana: “I love the atmosphere, the southern hospitality and the friendships formed”
Nick: “I like that everyone comes from all over, to this one place, for the same reason. The festival and it’s music”
Amber: “The camaraderie amongst country music fans alike makes you feel as if you finally found your way home”
Sam: “Favourite part is being in the same city as thousands of people who are there for the exact same reason. I love meeting new friends and spending time with old friends, then of course it’s great to see and meet artists that I wouldn’t get chance to over here in the UK”
Jane: “You just never know who you will run into….”
Debbie: “My favourite part has always been meeting the artists though that is getting harder and harder to do! I love meeting people before they become famous and watch them as they grow”
Mary: “Meeting artists seasoned, new & upcoming”
Rachel: “My favorite part is meeting the artists, & sometimes when I’m walking around I’ll run into them as they walk right pass me”
Ole: “My favourite part is Just taking it all in. I love walking around, talk to strangers who love country music too, grab a good meal at Joes crab shack and walk down to the riverfront. And explore downtown”
Maria: “I would be hard pressed to pick one thing but its just a country music mecca….music around every bend for a solid week….its country heaven!!”
Glen: “Seeing lots of artists performing live and atmosphere at LP Field”
Sherri-Lynn: “The best thing about CMA fest is getting to hang out with friends”
Doug: “Everything is great, but I like seeing someone this year then next year they hit it big then you play hell to see them”
Denise: “It is the whole atmosphere of the week. Meeting great people from all over, the music of the big artists and of the up and coming. You feel young and like one big happy family!! ”
Kathy: “I love just the whole music everywhere vibe and meeting new and old friends all loving the same things!”
Lynnette: “Being surrounded by country music which obviously doesn’t happen in the UK and seeing artists I wouldn’t have had the chance to see otherwise. Getting to do this while getting to spend time with friends I don’t get to see as often as I like and meeting new people with the same interests”
Lisa: “Coming from Australia….everything! 60,000 people swaying and singing every word! This is an incredible place and I got complete goosebumps absorbing the atmosphere, thinking how lucky I was to be there!
Tawni: “The whole atmosphere of Nashville is great. The FC parties are always fun”
